homemade[01] - i have to agree with birdseye, all of the frozen freshness was definitely captured right after picking. it's the classic on-field/at-home ice pack workaround to a nasty sprain and i have to say it's done a grand job. my friends told me to r.i.c.e [rest-ice-compress-elevate] so i feel for good karma i need to pass it on. bring on the normal sized ankle!

[un]real-time - it's sad times when success and value is continually measured in terms of 'minutes' rather than years. knowing immediately is rated more importantly than learning from considered or thoughtfully constructed opinions. getting results now is coveted more than working to more sustainable and long term futures. we talk of never having time but all of the success stories that surround us are based squarely upon it [from football and business to people and nature...]. it's not about being the first or fastest but about understanding how to become the 'best' and most sustainable we can.

learning from strangers - i got on the nothern line with this guy in town a few weeks ago [who is visually impaired] and after seeing tfl's great service, [meeting him between trians with pinpoint timing] i also noticed he was using a magnifying device to read his texts - i knew i should sit down and have a talk with him about both these experiences. it was a great reminder to myself that people are usually really happy to share their experiences with you; and interesting to learn how an old skool nokia device trumps the iphone for him everytime.
